A snowstorm battered the Colorado Rocky Mountains on Tuesday and Wednesday, leading to multiple closures, a six-vehicle pileup, a pickup going over the embankment of Interstate 70 and other crashes, according to public safety agencies. The Colorado State Patrol said that between 4 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday, there were 11 motorist assists, two injury crashes and four crashes that resulted only in property damage. There were also multiple slide-offs reported on westbound I-70 near the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels.
