Summit Fire & EMS conducts routine fire and life-safety inspections for all businesses within the district. These are completed periodically based on hazard classifications: High-hazard occupancies such as schools and restaurants are inspected annually. Moderate-hazard establishments such as retail shops are inspected every two years. And low-hazard establishments such as office buildings are inspected every three years. 

Rather than being surprised with an impromptu inspection initiated by SF&EMS fire inspectors, business owners are encouraged to schedule their inspection at a convenient time using this form.
