Website and Technology Accessibility

The Summit Fire & EMS Fire Protection District is committed to providing accessible services and technology, including website accessibility, to all of its users. To that end, Summit Fire & EMS strives to continually evaluate its website and technology and to improve their accessibility for all abilities.

The district’s accessibility efforts aim to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, conformance levels A and AA. These guidelines help make technology accessible to users with disabilities. There may be areas of the Summit Fire & EMS website and technology where the district could improve accessibility. The district welcomes feedback on how to improve the accessibility of its website and technology for users with disabilities, as well as requests for accommodations related to the district’s website or technology.

Compliance Officer and Reports

Summit Fire & EMS has designated Steve Lipsher as its Compliance Officer for website and technology disability-related accommodations. Users also may contact the Compliance Officer to provide feedback on the accessibility of the district’s website or technology. Summit Fire & EMS often can resolve accessibility issues in a timely manner if they arise.

Third Party Documents, Websites, and Technology

Please note that the Summit Fire & EMS website or technology may link to third-party documents, websites, or technology that do not provide accessible content or an accessible user interface.
